Jurat is s breakthrough technology that enables users to enforce their legal rights in decentralized environments. It provides on-chain solutions for digital asset recovery, smart contract administration, and official enforcement regarding blockchain transactions.
Jurat works in four steps
Generate ID
Use our UI to generate a Jurat Request ID. This unique computer-readable code describes a specific state change to be made on the blockchain ledger such as a coin transaction or a smart contract call
File a Lawsuit
The user can then file a lawsuit and give the Jurat Request ID to the judge. If the judge agrees that the state change should be made, she simply includes the ID in her written opinion and dockers in as usual.
Docker Connect
Jurat-enabled blockchain nodes can access the court’s electronic docket and recognize the ID when it appears in a court order. The nodes know that the judge has ruled and understand the state change the judge has ordered
Execute Orders
The nodes then execute the judge’s order via a new transaction on-chain. The process runs automatically, without introducing any intermediary or any centralized point of control.
TRUE TO DECENTRALIZATION
There are no intermediaries, no central authority, and no “official key.” Jurat preserves all the core norms of decentralization such as user anonymity, ledger immutability, and self-custodied assets.
AS SECURE AS THE BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK ITSELF
Judicial transactions execute through the same verification process as the network’s native transactions so there is no additional attack surface to the network. Jurat actually improves network security because criminals are less likely to succeed through open attack vectors given the capability to recover stolen assets. Criminality is discouraged as a result.
