The Community Impact and Enforcement Guidelines

The Community Impact and Enforcement Guidelines outline the consequences for any actions deemed in violation of the Code of Conduct. These guidelines include correction, warning, temporary ban, and permanent ban. The specific consequences will be determined based on the severity of the violation and the individual’s previous behavior.

  1. Correction: typically used for a single instance of inappropriate language or behavior. The post in question will be deleted or removed and the individual will be notified of which rule was violated and how to avoid similar violations in the future. If the behavior was in person, the individual will be contacted directly to discuss the violation and how to avoid it in the future.
  2. Warning: typically used for a violation through a single incident or series of actions. The individual will receive a warning with consequences for continued inappropriate behavior. They will be prohibited from interacting with the people involved, including those enforcing the Code of Conduct, for a specified period of time. This includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels like Telegram, Discord, Reddit, and the Community Forum. Violating these terms may result in a temporary or permanent ban.
  3. Temporary Ban: typically used for a serious violation of community standards, which can include sustained inappropriate behavior. The individual will be temporarily banned from any sort of interaction or public communication with the community for a specified period of time. They will not be allowed to interact with the people involved, including those enforcing the Code of Conduct, during this time. Violating these terms may result in a permanent ban.
  4. Permanent Ban: typically used for a pattern of violating community standards, which may include sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an individual, or aggression towards or disparagement of classes of individuals. The individual will be permanently removed from any sort of interaction or public communication with the community. If they have alternate accounts, those may also be removed. No public or private interaction with the people involved, including those enforcing the Code of Conduct, will be allowed.
